Re: Like this too

Very nice machines, I nearly went for one but the riding position is very focused for the road. Bought a Street triple R instead as its 90% the same but much more usable on the road, just have some funds in reserve for when things go wrong. https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xta1/t...

Re: Centre stand.

I strongly recommend getting a high quality one eg. Motrax that uses swingarm bobbins. So much easier than the cheap tubular ones that have L shaped pads you need to reposition every time The trouble with that is that my Cbr is a 1992 there no facility for bobbins. So I'm going to have to have the ...

Re: Centre stand.

I've not had a centre stand on a bike for years and never really missed it. If you regret taking it off, just put it back on. Simples. 8-)

Re: Love this r1. I'm so veering (in choices), all over the

Yep I'd agree with whats been said, 125 to R1 you'd miss out on all the awesome bikes inbetween. I sold my SV650 a while ago and reckon its one of the best value for money bikes out there. Looks good, easy to ride, cheap to run and fast enough to boot. Got a Street triple R now and sometimes I still...

Re: Triumph charging issues

Good shout on the pick up richie, just had a quick check before work. The pick up comes as part of the stator coils so its been replaced along with the stator coils. Original pickup: http://i.imgur.com/ZuuO5AL.jpg New pickup (fitted): http://i.imgur.com/8ajUcen.jpg So a bit of googling reveals that ...

Re: Triumph charging issues

Unfortunately its a common problem on Triumphs, no shortage of info online about ruined reg/rec's and stators. I've just spent the day stripping it down and rebuilding it. Was still cranking over & not firing, its not got an immobiliser so I pulled the spark plugs which looked fine, but replaced any...
