Were you 2-up? Anything following behind you? What were the road/weather conditions like? Im sure when they plan and install the red light cameras they need to take the worst into account .eg- bad weather, speed limits.etc They will probably state that you were either riding too quickly for the cond...

The bike rider did the right thing. Scooter rider or no scooter rider - it suprises me that people would intentionally do something like this, they obviously dont realise a 1.5Ton+ vehcle is effectivley a weapon, could have easily ended worse - what if the scooter rider slid into oncoming traffic? In my opinion, he is probably the best person for the job. I used to hate him when i was a kid, but as others have said, he seems to have calmed down abit. I rarely take my bike to work.
I do prefer it to taking the car - the bike makes sure im awake when I get there and I dont mind working a little later because I can look forward to the ride home.
Car is much easier though.
