Re: Mobile mechanic
whats up with kenny?
Re: Mobile mechanic
I have triumph 1050 tiger, it turns over for a few seconds but doesn't start.
Ive a new battery fitted and all the contacts are all clean.
I'm hoping its just the clutch switch sensor that needs replacing, I will try and clean it tomorrow and see if that works.
Any ideas for the mechanically challanged ?

Re: Mobile mechanic
kenny i dont think its the clutch switch as i dont think it would turn over at all if it were that, it sounds like its not firing could possibly be fuel ralated or immobiliser if it has one
Re: Mobile mechanic
^^^ True dat! , both clutch switch and side stand switch failure wouldn't allow the bike to turn over at all mate
Re: Mobile mechanic
Surely side stand switch would just kill it when u put it in gear not just stop u from starting it even in neutral??
Re: Mobile mechanic
You're right mr rotten it's not the switch,johnnyrotten13 wrote:kenny i dont think its the clutch switch as i dont think it would turn over at all if it were that, it sounds like its not firing could possibly be fuel ralated or immobiliser if it has one
I'll take it to a bike shop and get it sorted as my mechanical skills are pretty vacant

Re: Mobile mechanic
Funny you should pop up with this, I was trying to buy the same model but it had a sprag clutch issue (broken sprag clutch) meaning it would bump start but not fire up on the button.kenny wrote:You're right mr rotten it's not the switch,johnnyrotten13 wrote:kenny i dont think its the clutch switch as i dont think it would turn over at all if it were that, it sounds like its not firing could possibly be fuel ralated or immobiliser if it has one

The bike's up and running again, turned out to be a problem with the main relay.
Two weeks without a bike and it felt like I was having withdrawal symptoms, is this even possible?
