I have triumph 1050 tiger, it turns over for a few seconds but doesn't start.
Ive a new battery fitted and all the contacts are all clean.
I'm hoping its just the clutch switch sensor that needs replacing, I will try and clean it tomorrow and see if that works.

Any ideas for the mechanically challanged ? :D

kenny i dont think its the clutch switch as i dont think it would turn over at all if it were that, it sounds like its not firing could possibly be fuel ralated or immobiliser if it has one

^^^ True dat! , both clutch switch and side stand switch failure wouldn't allow the bike to turn over at all mate

Surely side stand switch would just kill it when u put it in gear not just stop u from starting it even in neutral??

You're right mr rotten it's not the switch,
I'll take it to a bike shop and get it sorted as my mechanical skills are pretty vacant :)

Funny you should pop up with this, I was trying to buy the same model but it had a sprag clutch issue (broken sprag clutch) meaning it would bump start but not fire up on the button.

The bike's up and running again, :D turned out to be a problem with the main relay.
Two weeks without a bike and it felt like I was having withdrawal symptoms, is this even possible?
