Looks like I can use a cbr1000 alternater/generater as I'm still on the 28amp and there the same so not going to be that much of a hit in the wallet.Stumoores wrote:Burnt out coil, it should around 50 volts per phase.

Finally got alternator out by cutting lugs off the bottom stupid place to put one but at least finally the 28amp one is out, had to spend a big chunk of the other project I was going to do to get the 40amp unit and drive, £320 for a second hand part scandalous.

It looks like you put a toolbox on the seat and then strapped a hand grenade to the back of the bike and pulled the pin.

Have to do it just for alternator good news is its now in bad news cnt get steel cable and split pin out of engine so sump coming off tomorrow
