I found it uber frustrating due to not having the primer solution, has lifted in places. Not a problem in the parts i've done as they are low down but the next job is the tankPacuk wrote:Looks good, I found out the other day my brothers done a course in window tinting and wrapping cars, gonna take the bits I did myself to him over winter to be done again

Ask him to get the primer for when he does yours saving doing it a second time.

I was watching a 12 plate TRE-k 899 with 5k miles on it on eBay yesterday. It's had a low speed drop on NS, v.light damage. He wants £2400 ? What do you think ?
Revving the bollox off it since 1982

Guess whats back?
very cheap indeed. The Tre_k is basically the triumph bike with a benelli badge- same engine, electrics, ECU and fueling. Lots of parts available though the benelli forum network and on ebay of course. 200 miles on a tank is good tooStumoores wrote:I was watching a 12 plate TRE-k 899 with 5k miles on it on eBay yesterday. A good friend of mine just sold his as he got a company bike from yamaha (jammy twunt) was lovely to ride.
Basically the same bike as my new MV too, benelli chief designer is now at MV moto corse.

Looks good mate. Did you do the tank yourself in the end? Thinking of doing my bike in a carbon wrap. Is it easy to do ? And what price is it? Got a K1200r

Re: Guess whats back?
the tank is still at my sprayers as the vinyl wouldn't adhere to satin lacquer.macca wrote:Looks good mate. Did you do the tank yourself in the end? Thinking of doing my bike in a carbon wrap. Is it easy to do ? And what price is it? Got a K1200r
The wrap its self was pretty easy if you have a nice clean, wide and high up workspace or even just do it in situ. With a hair dryer it was brilliantly supple but fkkk i did get some burnt fingers.
Mine was also very cheap and very good quality, i think £35 for 5m x 1.5m wide 4D vinyl.
When all the panels are back they should be gloss where i wanted to wrap so i'll look at doing it again and buying some more.
Should you wish to try yours before investing £30+ give us a shout as i probably have 1.5-2m x 1.5m of the stuff left.
