Bang on, Glen Rothay hotel/ Badger bar, Rothay being the nearby river. We stayed a couple of nights two year back, went for a walk up to Rydal water, arrived back in the bar at dusk and barman says just in time to see the badgers, we had no idea but went out onto the drive and theres about 15 other guests stood there and a pile of food on the lawn. Next thing about 8 or ten badgers came thro the trees and started feeding not twenty feet away. Never thought I'd see that.
What was the smallest clue to do with?

I am sure I heard once that Rydal was the smallest lake, but I cant find anything to back it up now.
