MCE insurance

Just had a good quote, although the excess is high.
Do I recall some bad experiences being reported?

Down load on me . :geek:

They're fine unless you need to use them for a claim. My little off from 2013 still isn't settled kinda past caring now but won't ever use them again.

I had the same from them Kev, a very good quote initially but they wanted 2K excess, 2 feckin K

I called them to ask if it was a mistake and they said they would reduce it to £500 but it would cost me an extra £150 on the policy, which then made their quote a not very good one.
I went with Hastings in the end.

The excess is £575 which seems to be double the going rate.
I don't get why my current insurer has hiked my premium 50%.
Zillion years NCB, no points, two ADQ.

OR says they're crap if you need them, I'll move on me thinks.

Kev,

Most insurers now take the piss at renewal time.

Re MCE - My lad used them for 4 years. And when he made a claim this year, in addition to a £1200 excess, the written off bike was valued at not much over half what I'd expect a replacement bike to have cost.

No way him or me would ever use them again.

I would strongly recommend Carole Nash. I have used them for the last couple of years. Excellent cover, excellent service and a price so low the the IAM insurer can't beat them. They also score well for dealing with claims although I've not experienced this side of them first hand. Touch wood!

I can recommend bikesure for their speed and accurate offer on a claim i made.
But for sheer low price and decent excess ive used bennets for the past couple of years. Plus they have been good at renewal time. Couldnt get a cheaper price anywhere on the old cbr.

I'm with mce have been for like 4 years now was with Bennetts before that. Mce's legal team are worse then useless but based in southport so what do u expect had a crash but used sorrymate so didn't have to deal with them personally there cheap and I have found the call centre team quite useful renewal quotes are always higher so I went online and did it that way saved bout £100 on there renewal price so phoned them and was told don't renew just take the online price as they can't meat the online quote
