I had some alpine stars waterproof gloves when we did the italy trip........remember Daz the one you dropped out of........they were pretty good......although in the end the were wet.......but that was after 10-12 hours of riding in the rain for 5days.......and when i say rain i mean monsoon

If you like thin waterproof gloves with decent protection the Knox Covert may be worth a look. I've had mine on all through the winter without any water ingress.

Waterproof Thin gloves, i recommend the Aldi specials for £16 or something.
Fitment is okay, not "much" insulation, knuckle protection only, but boy do they compress down.
I used to keep waterproof overgloves in my bag just in case, but they are annoying.
I keep these in there now instead, only slightly more bulky, but yesterday I rode for 3 hours in pissing rain with them, with my ill nino sleeves OVER the gauntlet of the gloves, and I still had dry hands.
