Council MOT stations

Post by SMUDGER » 08 Feb 2016, 19:26

Has anyone used a council MOT station.
I've done some research and it seems they have vosa qualified testers, but what stands out is they do not repair vehicles or even other any facilities to fix anything it fails on.
After reading reviews if there true or not some ppl have had cars and bikes fail with repairs ranging from £100-£1500 but instead have just gone to a council MOT station and passed.
I have a council testing station near me. I know the bike shouldn't fail so I may just give this place a go and put both bikes in

Never used one.
Do they do class 2?
Did a quick google search and the lancs ones (wigan and oldham) dont seem to?

Id rather stick to my usual couple of garages if thats the reputation they have but each to their own.
