Halford stuff is decent quality.
The half price sale is bollocks tho.
They have been selling that socket and spanner set for at least 10 years for £150.

My ex apprentice got one when he first started.

I trained an apprentice, yes.
And he did very well due to my awesome teaching skills.

I bought their professional socket set about 18 months ago on a half price deal, it's a great bit of kit for £80 to be fair.

I had this set on reserve on a Black Friday deal then 10% off so £90.. Then had a crap day in work and finished to late to collect the next day.. Might invest as this is the cheapest I've seen it aince

If you know someone with a trade card you can borrow, you get a decent bit off the tools.
I scored a 3/8 torque wrench a while back, very impressed with it and saved a good whack on it and a set of ratchet spanners
