Check the exhaust bolts at the collar are tightened.

Check the rear sprocket for wear on the edge suggesting poor wheel alignment or bearing fked.

Ideally get a 17’ plate as they are rubber mounted engines

Or

Pre 16’ if you want more options and less ££ re-mapping

LAF exhaust will render you deaf and probably get your windows put through by your neighbours

Check Head stock bearings

Abs systems are great but so unnecessary and very weighty

The stock exhaust can post 16’ weigh about 15/20kg each- buy without if possible

Buy with Stage 1 tune already done of you can

Don’t buy a bobber- frame stress at the seat

Peanut tank looks the nuts but is either 1.7 or 2.2gl max

Check everything for rattles, stuff rattles too much its probably chinese

Thats about it, pretty solid engines. They clunk into 1st like a Honda, pull harder than a spotty teen watching PornHub and handle pretty well.

If you teat ride ensure you are doing increasing about 20mph each time you shift- long gears, 1st takes you to 50mph.... if you change up too quick the engine noise can sound like valve slap

Image too many middle aged men wondering what’s going on in their pants and selling their bikes. The sporty is such a good bike, don’t go 883 unless it has the big head conversion to make it a 1200 like the 48.
