WSBK 16th March (Spoilers)

(As per previous post, don't come on the forum if you've not watched a race yet, there is a huge chance of spoilers -including this thread)

This is open question and hopefully someone can answer...

I always really rated Chaz Davies as a rider. I thought he would be up there if the bike was capable. Bautista is showing everyone the bike is capable, even if the others being so far back are showing it's not perfect by any means.

So does anyone know why Chaz is so far back? Is he injured? Laverty similar but to a lesser degree as he's not (I don't believe) in a factory backed team

Any other thoughts about this weekend races more than welcome on this thread

Maybe he just hasn’t clicked with it yet.
Or the bike isnt quite there, but the talent of a top moto gp rider is more than making up for it?

Could be Alvaro is more used to the v4 I suppose, Chaz is carrying an injury and I'm sure he missed out on some track time in testing. I have always thought Chaz a decent rider too, then again the same for Bautista and he is definitely showing it now.
As for Laverty I just wish he could get a break, he always gets shit on or has no luck, I was at Monza 2011 when he beat team mate Melandri to win both races, I have rated him ever since.

Cheers for the replies

I watched a bit of the pre race coverage over the weekend, and I think it was Shakey who said the v twin suited squaring the corner off and powering out, whereas the v4 seems to be responding to higher corner speed, so that along with missed testing time etc means he's not adapted yet

Fingers crossed, wanted someone to come and challenge Rea, not just destroy him, lol

Was interesting to hear opinions on whether the ducati will have its rev limit reduced like the kawasaki’s did last year.
Not sure they can if only one is doing well and the next is way down the field?

Yeah, you'd expect Davies and Laverty (are there others?) to be pretty pissed if they got revs cut
