mobile cameras on m56 ?

Post by mosamahab » 31 May 2015, 04:42

So been shitting bricks, saw the speedo and I was doing 110. Many kittens were killed

New front tyre and stiffer suspension setup has made the bike super stable I did not even think I was going that fast.

So question, as far as I know I have not seen any cameras on m56 but since I was in full panic mode I checked cameralert app and it shows plenty of mobile camera sites between princess parkway and junction 10.

Off course only way to find out is wait 2 weeks, but has anyone seen any mobile camera vans on the m56 or on the bridges they love to park at.

Given that 95% of them are forward facing, I wouldn't worry too much !

I thought they worked both ways; as in check the speed through the back window and get the plate from the front mounted camera.

I'm just hoping there weren't any.

Fingers crossed for two weeks. :?

I have guessed you'd have seen if there was one there.. Even if it was too late....

Yeah that is what I keep telling myself. But I was pretty tucked in so could have missed it.

The cameralert app is linked to gpspocketworld it shows all the cameras on the map. You do need a subscription though, but first time you download they give you a free database update. That's when I hit the panic mode because it shows at least a few cameras between princess parkway and jct 10. I was not too bothered before because I have not seen any cameras on m56.

Oh well.

Most of these camera alert apps, just show you were mobile cameras have been sited . It doesn't mean theyare actually there at that time . A lot of sat navs have this built in .

If you were doing 110 and got recorded , best book a day off work and might be advisable to sorn the bike for a few months . !

Hope your worrying comes to nothing .. I'm sure lots of us have dreaded the waiting after seeing a camera

Find out in the next 10 days I suppose. I am sure I am just paranoid at this point.
