@Dave_W yep sure is, the K5+ engine has been tuned for improved low down torque and once you get past 5-6 it takes off mate. Its a lovely bike to ride, some reports have complained about a snatchy / on-off throttle, but its just a bike that wants to play and you need to be a bit delicate and smooth with your right hand thats all, it wont take long to get used to.

I think suzuki are getting there with the throttle/injection system. I had an SV with their first iteration and it was twitchy at first but like you say it's about being accustomed to the system. As I'm old now I've gotta admit I prefer torque over outright power. My 1250 is a lazy man's bike with 4th gear doing everything from 0 - 100. Maybe that's why I'm fat coz my left foot don't work much :)
