New Toy - Supermoto
New Toy - Supermoto
After the CRM showed me it needed a rebuild after 3 years use on track - and after looking at alternatives like KTM, CRF's and so on - i have bought a new bike.
a road registered 2007 CR250 for shit's 'n giggles.
New supermoto wheels ordered, a fresh top end, i am looking forward to trying this out on track very soon.

Re: New Toy - Supermoto
i will do a build thread when i start
i did consider 4 stroke alternatives, and lets be honest a CFR450X is road legal, reliable, fast and ticks all the box's except one - it's a 4 stroke
that excites me as much about making toast.
half of my trackdays are classic bike trackdays and to be eligable for these the bike needs to be a pre 1995 (or at least be a 2 stroke that was in production at this point - the CR was and they are happy for me to run it even although mines a 2007)
and i always had the urge to put a CR250 on the road - no idea why, perhaps this is why i took to the CRM so well.
Anyway i will have to get used to premix fuel and ratio's at petrol stations, and replacing top ends every few hours riding. i reckon these case induction engines should see a rebuild in 3 hours tops. keep a stock of OE or Wiseco pistons on the shelf in stock lol
