Cleaning the bike............

Post by gmercer1 » 26 Nov 2019, 10:46

Decided to clean the bike at the weekend. All went great until the very end when I was taking it off the stand it it tippled to the side and fell!

What a dozy git. Had a bike 10 yrs and never done that before
Snapped half the clutch lever and broke the front left indicator!

Anyone else been a dozy git before?

Me and the Mrs were in our back, i was working on my bike, lying on the floor tightening something up and she had just finished polishing hers. She was sitting / straddling it buffing the tank and then decided to get off it and totally forgot to put the sidestand down. the bike crashed to the floor as she jumped out the way with left clipon and clutch lever landing inches from my head. There was a moment of stunned silence before the realisation of what could have just happened hit us.......... nothing more was said, what could be said, I just picked up her bike and checked the damage..... close call that one.

Christ that could have ended badly!
I would have needed a change of underwear after that one.
